BUDDY FINISHES 14th AT CARAWAY - MOVES TO 12th IN POINTS

9/27/08  After the wreck at Martinsville, we knew we would have a very busy week trying to get the #02 put back together for Saturday’s race.  It was the effort of the whole team and Doug and Daniel Paasch, who came from Mooresville to help for three days, to get us back on the track.  Thanks, also, to Fiona Johnson who was a big help in the pits.  Practice on Saturday would be cut short due to showers.  After making some adjustments with the brake system, Buddy would go out to qualify and the rear brakes locked up, putting him in a slide through turns 1-2, sustaining some damage to the front-end.  Buddy would start the race 20th, and he worked his way forward, finishing 14th.  He also received the Sunoco Rookie of the Race Award. Congratulations to Tim Brown #83 on his second Caraway win!

TRIP TO MARTINSVILLE ENDS EARLY

9/20/08  After making the field by qualifying 32nd for the Whelen Made in America 300, Buddy’s day would end shortly after it started.  On Lap 11 coming out of Turn 2, the #88 of Woody Pitkat would make contact with the #02, sending Buddy to the wall.  Buddy was able to drive to pit road, but would have to climb from the car, as the right-front was beyond repair.  Buddy would post a 42nd place finish overall, with a 14th place finish for the Southern division.  Thank you to our team, family and friends (Paasch and Hoylman teams), who came to Martinsville and started their day in the pits at 6:00 am.  We couldn’t have done it without everyone’s help!  Congratulations to Ryan Preece #3 winner of the race.
